Joseph Barry from Thomastown (Grennan) Kilkenny had seven sons, was told he sailed up the Shannon River around 1813 and settled in Co Leitrim. Any information will be greatly appreciate.

The attached, while they do not record a Joseph Barry, they indicate that the Family of Barry had been in the British Army and settled in Carrick-on-Shannon in the 1800's, having enlisted in Waterford and Templemore.
