I am looking for help in finding a birth or baptism for my great grandmother Julia Scannell born or baptised in Abbeyfeale Limerick about 1839. Parents were Patrick Scannell and Mary Broder/Brouder. Julia arrived in Australia on the Queen Bee 1861. Her name could also come under Judith Scannell/Scanlan. It has been spelt both ways on marriage and death certificates.

DCP:
Judith Scannell was baptized on December 27 1839 in Abbeyfeale RC church. Record found on the subscription site Roots Ireland. Father was Patrick Scannell and mother Mary Brouder. Judith had a sisters Margaret 1838 Catherine 1842 Ellen 1857. There was an unnamed Scannell child baptized September 1 1846 with father Patrick and mother Mary (no maiden name shown) but the sponsors were Brouders so has to be the same family. Here is a link to the Abbeyfeale parish register https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0855 Possibly there are more children between 1846 and 1857 which the Roots Ireland transcribers missed.
Patrick Scannell and Maria Broder were married in Abbeyfeale on January 29 1837.Witnesses John Collins and Michael Broder.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you Roger for your info on my great grandmother. Unfortunately I was not able to open the link to Abbeyfeale Parish Register that you provided. And a belated Happy St Patrick's to all the Irish.
kind regards
