    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

I located one Keleher family in Carhue in the 1901 census. They lived in Magourney civil parish which is right below Aghabulloge parish. http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Cork/Magourney/Carhue_…

Does this look like the correct family?

    Roger,

Thanks for the quick response!! Yes I believe this is probably Timothys father and brother as we know Denis was a farmer (and Timothy) and that Timothy/Thadhg had one or two siblings who were teachers. Is Magourney close to Carhue? And is there any information I can find on Denis/Timothy and this family in general (i.e. Did any sibling emigrate?). in the 1901 I think Timothy has been married to Margate o Sullivan of Shanakiel Kilcorney and they have a young family.

    Many Thanks,

    Liz

Carhue Upper and Carhue Lower are townlands within the civl parish of Magourney.

The family was not there in 1911 and presumably Denis the father had died. I found this 1903 death record for a Denis Keleher not in Carhue but the informant was Timothy Kelleher.

  • Many thanks. Can I just ask where coachford and Aghabullogue comes into this magourney/Carhue upper address?!?! In other words living here would give an address of Carhue Upper, Magourney, Coachford? Maybe the aghabullougue folklore is because he played for Aghabullogue but Carhue, coachford was his address and we have a marriage cert for him and Margaret (Maggie) o Sullivan where is states coachford for him.would this all make sense? Thanks Liz

Go to Google Maps. Coachford is about six kilometers south of Aghabulloge. I agree that Aghabulloge was likely his GAA club team. Likely you have this link  https://m.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=1047797341926684&id=182…
