Hello, Looking for information on family ancestors from Kiltoom Co Roscommon. Current information that I have is as follows: Ellen Kelly was born on January 17th 1876 to Michael Kelly and Bridget Kelly ( nee Coffey) She was baptised on January 28th and the sponsors were Michael Healy and Mary Anne Gatley. She married John Bailey and not sure if he was from Roscommon too? They had a son John Lionel Bailey who was born in Birmingham in 1908. Would like to know more about the Kelly and Bailey family from Kiltoom.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks T. Bailey

T.Bailey:
From what I can see, your Kelly family is likely from Cam civil parish which is just to the west of Kiltoom parish. See this 1901 census record.

Likely Ellen or Eleanor had already left for England. I did not locate a marriage record in Co. Roscommon.
There were only two Bailey families in the 1901 census for Co. Roscommon. There was no John mentioned in the two families.
My guess is that Ellen met John Bailey in England and they married in England. I would search English records.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks Roger for your very prompt reply. The Kellys you have directed me to on the census record look most likely Ellen Kelly's family. Also thanks for the clarification on the Bailey connection . We were never quite sure where the Bailey side originated.
We live in Co Cork now so maybe we can connect with the Kelly side some day. Many thanks again for your assistance. You provide a great service to people trying to connect with Irish ancestry. Many thanks, T. BaileyTbailey
