I was told by a person on Ancestry .com that if Catholic William O’Leary’s  probably was baptized in the Civil Parishes of Tiernascragh or Killimor .

My information shows that he was born in Ballycrissane, County Galway/ Mayo.

Ballycrissane would be Ballycrossaun don't know if the County is in  Galway or Mayo. I need one of these two churches to confirm that he was baptized there as I would like to find the rest of the family story. We come from a Wigmaker's via Great Grandfather and want to see if there are any others that were in that field plus find other family that may still be in Ireland.Grt Grands Father Mother supposedly came from Co Mayo Ire as well, went to school there and were childhood sweetheart. He and she came to America in 1880 and were married here.

  • You might try Inchigeelagh parish. I think that they meet regularly.
My grandmother was an O'leary. They lived in the Bantry area. I
Have relatives in Idaho that came over in the early 1900's. I might
    Help a little.
