If a baby/child dies at birth or soon after is that child baptised or death recorded. Looking for child born to Thomas King and Mary Donovan from Kilmacow Kilkenny born/died 1846. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In the Catholic faith a child would generally be baptised very soon after birth, especially if the child was unwell. A still born child would not be baptised. Very few Catholic parishes kept records of death or burial. Kilmacow Catholic records (National Library of Ireland) start in 1858 and the parish did keep some deaths/burials - 1858 to 1881.

I located a baptism where the parents are Thomas King and Mary Donovan in 'Owning & Templeorum' RC parish, which is a couple of parishes to the west of of Kilmacow - it's in Co. Kilkenny and like Kilmacow right on the Co. Waterford border. The child's name is Mary baptised 1st November 1839 to parents Thomas King & Mary Donovan see the first entry on the left page (National Library of Ireland)
