Hi just wondering if anyone might know where "Laurel Lodge" might have been in about 1822. My ancestor Joseph Bates lived there and the property was apparently adjoining Elysium in Ballytruckle.

  • Was it the name of a House?   I see Ballybruckle. Sorry no Bates people.
    In Landed Estates the only Laurel Lodge I found was in Moycarkey, County Tipperary.

  • I looked at the map for Ballytruckle, its an area in the centre of Waterford, there is a group of houses in Laurel Court and Laurel Park.

    Sorry I did a miss spell.

  • Thanks Margot. I think that would be the location because the Elysium House (former home of the Alcock family) was just to the north of Laurel Court/Park.
