Hi I am looking for Lawrence Flynn b1818 & Mary Kearns b1820. All UK census's state birthplace as Ireland. They moved to Newcastle Under Lyme around 1850 with children born in Ireland and UK. I have looked at the baptism sponsors and again no links as to where they were born. My late Grandmother always said her husbands family were from Co Mayo. I contacted Mayo Heritage centres who sadly could not find any records. I am subscribed to Ancestry, Family Search & Roots Ireland but just cannot find a link. Hoping someone can help

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
The only record I located was an 1839 baptismal record for a Michael Flynn with parents Lawrence Flynn and Mary Kearans. The baptism was in the Loughlynn RC parish in Roscommon. This church is not far from the Mayo border. The sponsors were Patrick Greacy and Anne Gibblen. The record was on Roots Ireland.
Here is the link to the parish register http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0557
Please consider adding your ancestor stories to our XO Chronicles site.

Hi Tracyannabanna,
You should also check the record on NLI link provided by Castletown, record dated 6 Sept 1838, a birth of Catherine Flynn, parents Laurence Flynn and Catherine McNelly with Cormac Giblin listed as sponsor.
As there is a Giblin sponsor on both records Laurence may have married twice.

Hi
I dont think this can be the same Laurence Flynn as there is also a record for the baptism of Anne Flynn to Laurance & Catherine in 1833. The UK census's all state birth of Laurance abt 1818? That would make him only 15
