Looking for any Lees that might be related. I found a 1901 census with Bridget Lee as householder and she was 80 and would be my great grandmother. Two sons John and Stephen ended up in St Paul, MN in 1905 and 1910, and an Older daughtor Bridget on the east coast around 1900. John was my grandfather. in the 1911 census their brother Patrick was married to a lady name Ellen and still in Kinvarra. Two sisters Mary and Margaret were no longer listed at the house in Kinvarra. Looking for any information on decendants from Patrick and Ellen, Mary , or Margaret. If the house is still standing, buriials, marriages, ect. Any info would be appreciated, planning a trip and would love to see where they lived, church they went to, or where they were buried.

Many Thanks

Steve Lee

    Hi Steve,

    Thank you for your message.

Have you tried looking at civil records to see if you can find any birth, death or marriage records relating to the family after the 1911 census record? Civil records are available from the General Register?s Office in Dublin. Here is their website:

    http://www.groireland.ie/research.htm

You can search the indexes to these records up to 1958  online at:

    https://familysearch.org/search/collection/1408347

Perhaps it may be an idea to also place this message in a more local forum in the hope that someone in the area may recognise the names and make contact with you. There is a local ?community news? newsletter available at the following link:

    http://www.kinvara.com/cc.html

This may be a good place to start.

I hope this suggestion is helpful and that you are able to find some information before you visit. Please be patient - as our programme has only begun to rollout across the island of Ireland and volunteers in some areas may not yet be organized.

    Kind regards,
