Hello,

In the linked death record for James Sheahan, son of James Sheahan, I am having trouble discerning the street "Kenwick Lane" or "Kerwick Lane" or anything like Ke?ick Lane.

I am searching old maps by eye trying to find any lane or street in Limerick around 1900 starting in "Ke" and ending in "ck".    But no luck so far.

  • Perhaps you could send us a copy of the record or a link to it?

    Is it possibly Limerick Lane?

  • It is likely:

Kerwick’s Bow: Located in the St. John’s Parish.

  • My apologies to Patricia and anyone else having read this thread, I thought I had linked the record but I was mistaken.  Here is the record:

And my eye tells me that the first two letters of the street are "Ke" and the last four letters are "wick" and so we start the thread again?

And to Patricia I am now looking at the maps for "Kerwick's Bow" in St. John's Parish, thank you so much.
