David McCarthy was born in Dublin in 1895, and died in 1958 (place unknown). Was married to Rose (surname, date & place unknown) who died in 1972. David's father was Denis (no information) and his mother was Sarah Ann Chamberlain (b. May 9, 1870, d. Jan. 9, 1938), married Dec. 23, 1893 in Kensington, England. David's sister was Ellen May McCarthy, born Aug. 18, 1896 in England and died April 27, 1975 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

The baptismal records for Dublin City and County Dublin are between two sites. www.rootsireland.ie and www.irishgenealogy.ie
I went onto rootsireland and found a David mc carthy born 1894-1896 . I then put in the fathers name denis and the same record showed up. I'd safely say this is your man.
If you go to this site, it costs nothing to search through the records but you must pay to view the one you think maybe yours. about €5 .
So it's great when you have a parents name to narrow down your search, I think it might be worth viewing this one.
When you scroll down the left side of the page , click on county genealogy centres. This will take you to a map of Ireland and Dublin has two centres in green. you want the swords heritage centre. The centre in red can be found at the irishgenealogy site.
I put in the info and went down the page to parish/district drop down menu. I searched each parish for this record.
I found it in the parish of St. Pauls RC, ArranQuay
