Looking for another set of great grandparents
Name: Andrew Burke Anne (Nee Kenney) Burke
Birth 1819 ?
Marriage ? ?
Death Aug. 14, 1908, Atherton, Lancashire, England ?
This date is debatable (See Below)
Father Myles Burke (Found in 1850 Griffiths Eval. In Cartronroe ) ?
Mother ? ?
Did Andrew or Anne have any siblings?
I found their children all born in Cartronroe (Lavalee) Tuam Galway, Ireland
Patrick Burke March 21, 185 ( My grandfather)
Mary Burke Sept. 28, 1854
John Burke June 10, 1855
Ellen Burke June 9, 1859
Honoria Burke Nov. 20, 1862
Bridget Burke between 1862 and 1864
Four of the children immigrated to the USA. Patrick to NYC, John, Ellen and Honoria to Western Massachusetts. Bridget immigrated to Australia and Mary was the only one who stayed in Ireland. Mary married Edmond Hughes in Cartronroe June 26, 1879. I found Mary and her family in the 1901 and 1911 Irish Census living on the family farm in Cartronroe now called Lavalee. Upon Andrew’s death (Aug 12, 1909 in Tuam?) Administration of his Estate was granted at Tuam to Mary Hughes Married Woman.
Anne Kenney Burke is said to be buried in an old church cemetery in Barnaderg, Killerinin as is Mary Burke Hughes, a young boy and possibly Andrew Burke. Andrew’s body is supposed to have been returned to Ireland for burial. The cemetery is located between Killererin and Taum where older parish members may have been buried.
I would be most appreciative of any help in locating the above information. Thanks,
