Trying to trace a family named Canny in the Cork County area. Thanks!

Could I suggest that you have a look initially at the 1901 and 1911 Census for Ireland and you will find ten with the surname Canny in Cork City and fourteen with the surname Canny in the 1911 Census. The Census can be found at www.census.nationalarchives.ie and are free to view and print. If you wish to go back further, look at www.irishgenealogy.ie and at the Civil records which begin in 1864 or the Church records which areusually from the beginning of the 1800s and are also free to see and print.
