My great, great, great, great grandfather was Jeremiah Reilly he married Ellen Hanly (d. 10/1/1870 Knockbride). They had John Reilly in 1821 (d. 1881 Cork) and he married Anna Duggen. They had several children, one being Peter Reilly (b. 1845) who married Ellen Clarke. They had my great grandfather John Reilly. John came to America around 1880 but I do not know if he got married once he was here or not but I do know he may have had a family somewhere up in New England area where he worked for the fabric mills. He then went south with his job around 1900 and met my great grandmother Harriet Mauldin and married in 1901. They had 2 children my Aunt Rosella in 1903 and my grandfather James Riley in 1905. Any information on Ireland families of Riley/Reilly, Clarke, or Duggen would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Stephanie Riley

I don't know a Jerimiah or John Riley or Reilly. Any my Rileys came from Cavan, not Cork. Remember that Cork was the point of departure for many. That may not be where your family was really from.
Hey, regarding Rileys in New England. My Rileys came to Somerset, MA in the 1850's. Town History below. The chapter on the Industrial Era mentions the Irish famlies who arrived: https://archive.org/details/historyoftownofs00hart/page/134/mode/2up
Across the river is the City of Fall River, MA. It was a big cotton mill town, where many factories employed a lot of workers. That was the late 1800's and early 1900's.
on Google, I found a list of other mill towns: https://newenglandtowns.org/cotton-mills. See if you have a connection to any of those places.I don't think I'm connected to your James Riley. But I wish you luck.
