  • Hi Richard,

I looked up National Census for 1911 & this looks like his family in co down, it says 6 children born, 2 living so the 2 listed must be the only family.

If you wish to repost this with co Down as the county, you may get a better response.

PRONI would be a site that would relate to  info & history of the 6 counties of which Co down would be part of.  You could use familysearch.org to see can you find any marriages of the 2 girls, as a place to start assume that they are approx 30 when they get married, that way you will get their new names  then search for their children.  Hopefully you will get more information & addresses & that will lead to your family.

If I was you I would get Davids death cert & it will tell you who the informant was, if it was his wife, then look for her death cert & find out the informant on that, if it is a daughter & she is married by that stage you will have her married name & maybe her address if not living at home.  A farmer with no sons, would have a good chance of marrying off his daughters & they may still be living on the farm.  You could write  a letter to the address..

Best of luck with your searches & hopefully, you will come to visit them some day.
