Hi.
My name is Marisha Jno-Lewis. Im 21 years old and I live in the Caribbean. My parents are from the island of Dominica. My dad recently told me that my late grandfather did not know his father due to the fact that he (my great grandfather) died when my grandfather was a baby in his mother's womb. My dad's side of the family has really pretty colored eyes ranging from green to hazel to grey and have Caucasion features. Such as the elongated nose and facial structure. We are all African American.
A cousin of ours recently revealed to my dad that our heritage may have came from Ireland. This is all I know. I would really like to get to know more if this is true. If ANYONE out there has any information on the last name Jno-Lewis, John Lewis, or Lewis please let me know. Any information would be helpful.
P.S. My grandfather was born around early 1900... so any information about that surname and the late 1800s early 1900s would be great.

Hi Marisha,
John Lewis is not an uncommon name and in 1899 alone there were 21 people born in Ireland with the same name. Do you have a little more information like who he married and where he lived or/and when and where he died?
The more information you can provide the bigger the chance that we can help
Regards
