I am lookin for Patrick McGinnie born around 1864, Bernard McGinnie and Jane McGinne nee McMillan also looking for Patrick Shearman 1818 and Elizabeth McManes 1819 Hope you can help CL

    Any idea what county(ies) these individuals were from?

    Is it possible that the surname was McGinnis or McGuinness? Was Bernard a brother of Patrick? I searched for a civil marriage record for Bernard and Jane under Jane McMillan from 1845-1900 but did not find a record. Also did not find a Patrick Shearman marriage to Elizabeth McManes,

  • Hi Roger  Thanks for getting back to me. The info I have for Patrick Mcginnie is from a 1891 Edinburgh census stating he was born in Dublin but my Granny always said he was from County Cork. Bernard and Jane where his parents, I think he could also have had a brother named  Bernard. I dont have any further info on Patrick Shearman 1818 and Elizabeth McManes1819 other than a 1841  Dumfiesshire  Scotland census stating Ireland as their birthplace.  Thank you for checking this for me  Charmaigne  Leslie
