  • Hi Kyle

Can you give any first names and approximate years of birth so I can check the records?

  • The Loe surname was brought to the British Isles during the Norman Conquest of Britain in 1066, indeed some of the Loe's moved to Ireland.

Surname variants : Lowe, Lowes,Lowis, McLoy

http://churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/ has 1241 free church records with the name Loe

    Hope this helps,

    Annemarie

The name Loe is exteremely rare in Ireland. Griffiths Valuation has a single example who was Francis Loe, a landlord in Co Longford.

There?s also just one ? Eliza Loe - in Co Wicklow in the 1911 census. That?s it for the whole country. How sure are you your ancestors came from Ireland?
