Hi Jim,
Thank you for your message.
It will be difficult to find a parish for James without further information. Do you have anything else you can share? Do you know:
? Any important dates such as birth, marriage, emigration dates?
? Religious denomination?
? Any other information about his emigration?
Remember to post as much information as you can with regard to the people you are researching. The more information you post, the more likely it is that one of our volunteers will be able to advise or assist you. Also include information concerning which sources you may have already used so others may further your search.
Kind regards,

To Jim Fleming looking for James Patrick Fleming.
My great grandfather was Martin D. Fleming, he was from Carrabane in county Galway. He immigrated to Barrackville Va. (now W.V.) sometime after 1852 and before Dec 1854.His first son was Patrick Willian Fleming baptized 2 aug. 1852 in Carrabane parrish. Martin worked on the railroad per census data, and had at least a brother Peter and a sister Margaret who were stateside. I believe there was an extended family that came together, but have not been able to verify any passenger lists or pin down a date. I had access to the family bible (RC) of Patrick which was a good starting point.
James D. Fleming,
Fairmont W.V.
