Good morning! I am planning a trip to Ireland with my mother in the next few years. She is a Lucid, a rare and mostly Kerry name. Her ggrandad is George Lucid m Hannah Bunce in Causeway in 1857, Children Ellen, John, Phillip (emmigrated to the US in 1882), Edward, and Thomas, all born in Doonamuntane.
Edward was living with George and Hannah when they died, and his daughter Mary Lucid was born in 1900 in Dirtane (mother Catherine Moriarity). That is the latest name and date I have proof of. Does anyone know or have info on this family

If you go to this phone book site https://www.phonebook.ie/q/name/ check the Residential Tab and then enter Lucid in county kerry, you will get six records including a record in Dirtane. We don't recommend cold calling someone but you can certainly see them a letter and include your e-mail address and hopefully they will respond.
