I have been looking for MACKIN marriage C1834 would MANNIX be a transcription of the same name ?
I found a marriage for Ellen MANNIX married to O'Farrel 18 Jan 1834 Tralee Co Kerry, Ire
My original search is for Ellen/ Eleanor Mackin married C 1833----1834 to John Farrel b. Longford, Ire
Would Co Kerry be to far away from Longford or Meath for the marriage to take place?

Jacaranda Jean:
I don't think the Mannix and Mackin surnames are connected.
I searched on the subscription site Roots Ireland and did not see an Ellen Mackin marriage to a Farrell in Co. Longford around 1833. Possibly the marriage occured in a parish which no longer has marriage records back to 1833. However, I did find nine Farrell baptismal records from 1837-1855 in the Colcille RC parish in Co. Longford where the father was John Farrell and the mother was Eleanor Mackin.
Could this be the family you are looking for? Can you provide any names of children?

Thank you Roger. I have the names of the children.
My problem is finding the marriage I believe the 1st child was Patrick born Colmocille
and I have Australian info of his coming here (Aust) 13 June 1857, marriage etc, marriage and death say Ellen Mackin.
Mannix was a long shot as the marriage date was about when I expected Ellen & John Farrell to marry.
