Hoping someone can help me join the dots.
My 4 x great grandparents and their children migrated to Australia in 1855 aboard the Matoaka in 1855. The passenger lists describes my GGGG grandmother Margaret Burke (nee Cunneen) from Ballyhay, Cork. Her parents to be Connor and Bridget (both deceased). Margaret b. abt 1819 married Edward Burke (I believe the spelling was Bourke but they changed it due to a family of the same name also travelling on the Matoaka.
I have tried to verify Margaret’s birth records or that of her parents but have hit a blank. Any help would be appreciated. I believe Edward already had a nephew living in the colony by the name of Martin Burke.
