Trying. to discover facts, parish, village etc. about my great, great grandmother Margaret Green. Born circa 1825. She had a brother Michael. She married Patrick MUlligan. They were discovered in a New York City census in 1880. Had a son Edward Mulligan born in NYC.
Thank you,
robert

Robert:
Margaret Green was a common name in Ireland. The subscription site Roots Ireland had 21 Margaret Green baptismal records from 1822-1827 across many counties. We would need to know her parents names and preferably the maiden name of the mother in order to see if there is a record available. In addition, a number of parishes do not have records back to the 1820s so if your Margaret was baptized in one of those parishes, a record will not ne available.
Have you found a death record for Margaret or some other document that might show the parents names? Have you considered DNA testing?

I also checked Roots. I was given copy of a death certificate of her brother Michael who died in Jersey City, New Jersey on 26 April 1886 at the age of 64. Listed are first names of parents, John and Elizabeth . No surname.
I have done DNA and discovered some a Scotish second cousin that I knew, another second cousin that does not respond and a distant cousin that also has been unable to locate anything about Margaret or her husband, Patrick.

I did a search on Roots Ireland for Michael Green with parents John and Elizabeth. Earliest record was in 1852.

Roger,
Thank you. I also checked Roots looking for a Margaret and Michael together, looking for Margaret with parents, looking for Michael with parents. It seems to be at a dead end unless I can discover more details in American records. Looking for immigration records in America and Canada, Looking at marriage and death records etc.
Thanks again,
Bob Mulligan
