I am seeking information regarding Margaret McLoughlin, born 8 Feb 1803 County Donegal, and wife of Hugh McGonigal, born 1799, also in Donegal. These two left for Ontario, Canada sometime after they wed.

I sincerely appreciate any help!

    Sorry, to give you the same response. I checked the subscription site Roots Ireland and the earliest Hugh McGonigal marriage on their data base was in 1854.

    The surname McLoughlin is extemely common in Donegal and was likely found in every parish in the 1857 Griffiths Valuation. However, the surname was very prevalent in the inishowen Penisula parishes so likely Hugh and Margaret came from that area.
