My late ancestor/great grandmother remains a mystery to me as to from where she departed Ireland to emigrate to Canterbury,New Zealand. Her brother Patrick and sister Margaret left Gravesend on the Wiltshire in late 1876 and they both settled in Canterbury,I cannot find Maria's arrival into New Zealand although I do have her marriage certificate to Daniel Mahoney(from Knocknagree near Millstreet,Count Cork) in Timaru,South Canterbury,NZ in 1881.Can you suggest records that might have her recorded as being on a ship either from Ireland, presumably Cork,or from England. There is no reason to not think that she might have departed the same time as her brother and sister but then again it may have been before or after.Any ideas would be most appreciated.

There is a Knocknageeha townland in Co. Clare and another in Co. Mayo. Do you know which one your ancestor was from?
