Looking for the parents of Martin Conner Murphy, born 1866 c Ireland, He immigrate to Cape Goodhope, he died in 1919 South Africa.
According to his deathnotice his parents were James Patrick Murphy and Caherine Webb.

Civil registration of births started in Ireland in 1864. I did search the free site www.irishgenealogy.ie for Martin Murphy civil births in 1866 and there were twelve records but none had the parents you listed.
I also searched the subscription site Roots Ireland for a baptismal record but there were no Murphy baptismal records with a father James and mother with the surname Webb.
I have a feeling that Martin was born before 1864 and he was baptized in a church which no longer has records back to that time period.
Are you aware of siblings? Have you considered a DNA test?
