One set of my great great grandparents were Martin Connor/O'Connor and Mary Flahiff/Flahive. They were married in Castlegregory in 1854 and had several children including Honora(1854), Mary 1856 or 1857, Cornelius 1858, Michael 1861, Michael 1862, Catherine 1865 and Martin 1867. I've been able to trace Catherine( my great grandmother) and her brother Martin to western Massachusetts and their sister Mary to New Zealand. I don't have a clue as to what happened to Honora, Cornelius, Michael nor the parents. I think that Mary Flahive was the daughter of John Flahive and Johanna O'Donnell but I do not know the names of Martin Connor/O'Connor's parents. I don't know where his family was from. but the family at the time of marriage and at least up to the birth of their youngest son lived in the townland of Caher, Civil Parish of Killiney.
I had an elderly cousin who mentioned that part of the family MAY have immigrated to upper New York State in the US but that's not been confirmed.
What I do know is that I've checked the irishgenealogy site for marriages and deaths with no success and I've also checked the 1901 and 1911 census records as well without any luck.
I expect that they may have immigrated but without a timeline of sorts that's difficicult to determine.
Are there any records beyond 1867 which may help me to determine how long the family lived in Caher after that date?

There is a death index record on www.irishgenealogy.ie for a Michael Connor who died in 1865 at age 3 in the Dingle registration distrcit. Possibly this is your ancestor but the surname is so common you can't be sure. You will have to wait until they add the 1864-1870 death images online or you can write to the General Register Office for a copy.

The period after the Griffiths up to the 1901 census is difficult for records unless you find a civil record. The cancelled books are available in Dublin which show property change information. Another avenue is to look for dog license renewals which are available on subscription sites like FindMyPast.

Aloha. My ancestry(dot com) tree shows that JOHN Oconnor (b 1853) was the son of Mary flahive Martin oconnor.
John went on to have 6 kids. One of johns sons Cornelius is my great grandfather.
Our family is spread mostly around California.
