Hi,

I'm searching for information on Mary Harrington, wife of Denis Canniffe.  I don't have any information on Mary Harrington but here is what I have on her husband Denis:

Denis Canniffe born in about 1821 (Clonakilty(?), Cork, Ireland) died 14 SEP 1870  George Street, Clonakilty, Cork, Ireland

parents:  John and Mary (nee Brien) Canniffe

Married:  about 1845 Clonakilty(?), Cork, Ireland (first known child born in 1846)

Children:

Mary Canniffe Donovan b 1846

Margaret Canniffe b 1848

Mary Canniffe b 1850

John Canniffe b 1852

Denis Canniffe b 1854 died 1864

Would marriage records give Mary Harrington's father's name?  Her date of birth?  Would there be a record of her death?  I believe she is related to my gg grandfather Timothy Harrington.  I have DNA matches that make me believe it is so.

    The free site www.irishgenealogy.ie has the February 4 1845 marriage record between Denis and Mary at Clonakilty. Witnesses were Joanne Harrington and James Daly. FYI Names were shown in Latin. A pre- 1864 church marriage record does not provide father's name or date of birth.

    There were also baptismal records for Catherine March 12 1846 Margaret May 28 1848 Mary Septmber 5 1850 John October 7 1852 Denis July 18 1854

    I don't see a baptismal record for Mary Harrington. Clonakilty baptismal records in 1809 so if she was baptized in that parish, there should be a record. Likely she was baptized in a different parish which no longer has records back to the year she was baptized.

    I searched for a civil death record for Mary Harrington in the Clonakilty registration district up to 1920 but did not locate a good lead.
