On Maurice Quinn's naturalization certificate in 1865 in Lowell MA USA says he was born and in Caprohollow County Kerry (abt 1800). On his death record it says his father is Jeremiah Quinn with no mother listed.
I can not find this place.
Can someone assist me?

  • Hello Patricia - attached is the 1856 naturalization certificate for Maurice Quinn.

    I have not been able to find Maurice's birth record any where.
    His death certificate in 1893 (attached) in Dracut MA USA indicates that he was 93 years old at his death, therefore his birth abt 1800. His father was Jeremiah Quinn.

    Maurice was probably from Capparoe and the place he lived in was referred to locally as Capparoe Hollow. Perhaps the heritage society can confirm this.
    Don't be alarmed by the differences in spelling...Maurice may not have known how to spell Capparoe and the person writing out the naturalization document entered what he heard: Caprohollow.
