Welcome back to Ireland Reaching Out!

A few items of interest. The first link is the 1892 civil birth record for Charles. i was unable to locate a marriage record for his parents. I found young Charles in the 1901 census living with his O'Hanlon relatives and in 1911, he was a servant in Thurles.

  • In addition to Roger's comments above I enclose what might be the marriage of Charles parents.

In relation to your other post about Charles in the 1911 census it looks like he was working in a College in Thurles and James Ryan was a Reverend - page 2 of the House and Building return -

  • Thank you Rger and Jim

Charles parents were actually married in Belfast.

The O' Hanlons were along standing Dundalk family, James O'Hanlon was a merchant and resided in 5 St Marys Road and the house remained in the family before 1921until the 1970's.

I am interested if anyone has any informationwhen Bernard O'Hanlon was killed in 1921 it was noted that his parents James and Rose had lost children within days of one another in Feb 1921 so the death of young Bernard in Dublin in March the same year made it more tragic, the loss of 3 children inside  one  month of each other.
