Looking to verify George McElroy's (1776-1871) marriage to Mary Powell (1777-). Was Mary's father James Powell (1760-) of Kilfee? A James Powell was born Cuilmore, Kilfree and died Powelisborough, Leyny, Achonry. His father may be a John Powell (1732-1816). Have found this on Family Search but can not verify any. George and Mary's daughter was Catherine McElroy, a great, great grandmother. George's father was also George (1740-). His mother was Elizabeth Keen/Kean (abt 1741-) Carnacrune, Sligo. As far as I can determine, all parties were in County Sligo. Thank you.

The baptismal records for the RC parish of Kilfree/Killaraght began in 1873, and the marriage records in 1844. So, there will not be any earlier records for your relations.
You can find George McElroy, James Powell and Robert Powell in the 1858 Griffiths Valuation records for Cuilmore, Kilfree though.
