I am looking for information on James McGreevy (b.1825) and Honoriae Goolrick. They lived in or around Cootehall. They had three children who were baptized in Ardcarn, Mary (Mariam) baptized 5 Nov 1843; Bridget (Bridgid) baptized 12 Jan 1846; Patrick (Patricio) baptized 26 Jan 1849. There is another son John who was born around 1842 but I cannot find any birth information on him.
The family emigrated to Ashton-under-lyne, Lancashire, England sometime after Patrick was baptized. They had seven more children in Ashton-under-lyne. They appeared on the 1851 and 1861 Ashton-under-lyne census. Between 1867 and 1870 they emigrated to Fall River, Massachusetts, with the exception of Bridget who married Edwin Holehouse in Ashton. She and her family emigrated to Fall River, in 1871.
The McGreevy name was changed to McGrady upon their arrival in Massachusetts.
Any and all information on the McGreevy and Goolrick family would be appreciated.

David: The records for Ardcarn/Cootehall RC parish do not start until early 1843 https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0536 which explains not finding a baptismal record for John or the marriage record. The 1855 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Ardcarn civil parish lists a number of McGreavy records so it is difficult to pinpoint which townland your family came from. https://www.failteromhat.com/griffiths/roscommon/ardcarn.htm Have you considered a general DNA test!
