Patrick McGuire s/o James McGuire and Frances Johnson was christened in St. Peters  Roman Catholic Church, Drogheda  27 Apr 1820 and family tradition states he became a sea captain and part owner of a vessel.  There are many with surname McGuire in the graveyard of St. Peters, many of which I assume are connected to the family, but as yet unproven.

I located a Patk McGuire age 17 on UK Apprentices Indentured in Merchant Navy 1 May 1837 Port of Registry was Drogheda and the vessel was  Harriet. Ship Master was John Boyle. Patk was 4 years bound.

Family tradition states that his father James McGuire was also involved somehow in sailing no idea how. James passed in Duleek Co. Meath circa  1834-40.

Any suggestions or directions on how to break down these brick walls would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely, Patricia O'Brien
