Hello, My Great Great Great Grandfather was Daniel Mclaughlin, the only detail I have is that he was born in Raphoe and that he married in Tynemouth, Northumberland in 1797 to Dorothy Tate. The occupation given was 'Yeoman', my understanding is this was a term used to describe a landowner in Ireland? Not, as I originally thought, a Cavalryman! I have no other detail to share but wonder if anyone has come across the name or the term 'Yeoman'? Thank You.
