Looking for any info on Michael McQueeney born around 1822 Ireland. Married Mary McGarry born around 1832 Ireland. They may have married in USA, or possibly Ireland. Their Daughter was born 1857 New Hampshire USA. I believe they immigrated around 1855. What part of Ireland were McQueeney's found? What part of Ireland were McGarry's found?
Thank you.

Wow, thank you Patricia! I wasn't expecting to get any info back. Is there a way to find out who their parents were? I have the most trouble going back past my GG on my Irish ancestors. There were quite a few Mcqueeny's in 1860 census Nashua Hillsborough Co New Hampshire. Bernard McQweeney on that census was of interest because his age would fit for Michael's father. Thanks again Patricia, I had just found Mary's maiden name yesterday after years of searching. Mark

Baptismal records for Mohill RC parish begin in 1836, too late for Michael and Mary--assuming they were baptized in that parish. See: https://www.johngrenham.com/records/rc_church.php?county=Leitrim&parish… Perhaps you might research the NH McQueeneys--censuses, vital records, obituaries, headstones, etc. This might help you figure out relationships. Also, there were Irish naming patterns, which most people followed. The first son was named after the paternal grandfather, the second after the maternal, the third after the father. The first daughter was named after the paternal grandmother, the second after the maternal, the third after the mother (but sometimes the order of the first and second daughter was switched).

Thanks again Patricia, Michael and Mary and daughter, my grt, grandma, disappear after 1860 census. I see their daughter's marriage certificate 1888 in Nebraska. That is where I found Mary's maiden name. 1900 there in Kansas with family no parents to be found. Michael got over to America just in time to fight in the civil war. Alot of these families were on the move again after the war. Anyway, thanks again for looking into the Ireland records, I didn't expect anything because I did not even know what part of Ireland they were from. My Murphy name is much more difficult! Mark
