Michael Brogan born 1799 was my gt gt gt grandfather.  He married and moved to Glasgow around 1850 with his wife and children: Thomas b 1830, Margaret b 1832, Catherine b 1835 (my gt, gt grandmother) John b 1837, William b 1840, Mary b 1844 and Owen.

Catherine later married Roger Wilde and moved to Ashton-under-Lyne in Manchester.

My mum was very proud of her Irish roots and always said her family were from County Cork.  I believe this to be from Michael's wife.  It is this connection I am trying to find.  In the Glasgow census she is down as Brogan only.  There is a Margaret Brogan and Owen Brogan living next door to Catherine Wilde in Manchester.  One family tree I found shows Michael married a Rose Ann Morris, however their are discrepancies with the children's names.

I have found a Catherine Brogan with parents Michael Brogan and Mary Quin living in County Clare in Kilmihil Parish in 1841.  I cannot find any marriage for Michael Brogan b 1799 with wife b 1806 - possibly Mary, Margaret or Rose.  Any info would be great.  Thank you.
