At line 165 is the baptism of Michael McNamara, son of Martin and Ellen (Foley). The Ancestry.com shows this page from Killaloe/Tulla. I need help with the term "Bid" after the Martin's name. Does anyone know what this means. I work in a clinic at to me "bid" means twice daily! Also after the name Ellen Foley is a word that I cannot decipher at all. Any assistance appreciated. My readfing of this entry is as follows:
Michael McNamara, son of Martin McNamara and Bridget Foley (Bid is short for Bridget) and they reside in the townland of Glendree (Commonly known as "Glandree" - Barony of Tulla Upper which is North of the town of Tulla.
