If I have the correct record, your mother was born September 1 1914 to Timothy Marnane and Bridget Wilde. They lived in Coolnapisha townland in Doon civil parish close to Pallasgrean. Her parents were married in 1905 and she had at least four older siblings. See records below including 1911 census. Let me know if you have any questions.

ThIs certainly looks like Katie  might be my mother she had a brother timmothy her fathers name and one of my half sisters is Bridget her mothers name too many coincidences she always believed her surnmae was murnane and se was born in 1918 but this is too conincidental

what im trying to do is apply for an irish passport to become europen and retire abroad My mother Katie on the records before my father married someone with the surname Carey

they had three children my half siblings Dennis Pete, Bridget Veronica, and Roseanne, i need to be able confirm that Katie is my mother by tracing my half siblings back to me David Graham Martin the only son of David Wilaim Martin her second husband my searches have come up with  nothing i hope you can find somthing in your records

There also seems to a descrepancey with the surname Murnane on the record and also Nurnane  AND YOU HAVE SAID Marnane this is important for the passport application to trace the birth certificate

Will the full certificate of birth also include her first marriage though? i have enough records of my mother thnaks to you  to apply for a pasport but it doesnt trace it back to me proving iim her son its a dilemma

Also another way of tracing the line to me ,do you have records of MARRIAGES David Willaim Martin to KATIE oR KATHERINE  she would have been Carey or changed banck to Murnane i was born in 1958 David Graham Martin my searches just keep hiiting a brick walll you have been so heplful so far thank you

The full birth certificate will not have her first marriage.

We only have access to marriage records thru 1946 and I'm guessing the second marriage to David Martin was after 1946? 

You will need to ask the General Register Office to look for the marriage to David Martin.

Thats fantastic Roger . the last thing i have to ask is do you have  records of my two half  sisters births Roaseanne Carey and Bridget Veronica to Jerimia Carey and my Mother and a contact for the Irish general registar office you have been more than helpful and i can't thank you enough 

And Dennis Peter Carey my half brother

I don't have enough information for the General Register office dont know when they were married or where posibly Limerick, more brick walls 

if you could supply the details of my half siblings that my mother had with Jerimiah Carey that wiould complete my puzzle

Civil birth records at the free site www.irishgenealogy.ie are only available thru 1921 due to a 100 year Irish privacy rule. Marriages go thru 1946 because the rule is 75 years and deaths go thru 1971 because the rule is only 50 years.
