Hello,
I have been researching my Murray family connection but have hit a brick wall. My 3x great grandfather, John Murry, was born in Dublin around 1815. He emigrated to Liverpool sometime before the Liverpool census of 1851. His wife was Elizabeth Degin/Diegan. She was 4 years older, born in about 1811. I have not been able to confirm either of their parents' names or confirm the parish names.
Thanks in advance for any help,
Regards, Mike

In the 1851 census, John had a son, Thomas, born in Ireland, and then there was a gap before the birth of the next child, which will be explained below.

John’s first wife, the mother of Thomas, who was born in Ireland, likely died. He then married Elizabeth Havers in 1847, as this marriage record shows. It notes that John’s mother was called Bridget and that his father’s first name ended in K.
