Searching for informatiion on the Rall family which is probably a misspelling of the surname as I find none in Westmeath. I know James Rall b 1815 arrived in the Unnited States 1839. From his US marriage record I know his parents were Thomas Rall (? sp) and Catherine Burns and that he came from Westmeath. Would greatly appreciate help on determining any information on this family.

I searched for a baptismal record for James and did not find a record for him or any child of Thomas and Catherine. The surnames that came up on the search were Rail, Rawley, Rahally and Raleigh. I assume your ancestors were Roman Catholic. many of the RC parishes in Co. Westmeath do not have records back to 1815.
