My great grandfather Peter Neary was born in Ballymore Eustace circa 1857 (Exact date unknown) info from 1911 Census.
His father was named as James Neary at the time of Peter's Wedding in Dublin in 1882.
A James Neary is shown in 1852 (Griffiths Valuation) as a freeholder in Bishopshill Commons Townlands, Ballymore
I am seeking any additional info on this family - birth/marriage dates, other family members/descendants etc.
Many Thanks
Jim Neary

Jim:
The subscription site Roots Ireland has an August 15 1851 baptismal record for a Peter Neary with father James and mother Mary Brady. The church was Ballymore Eustace. No townland listed. Peter has an older sister baptized May 2 1847 and another sister Mary baptized March 26 1849.
The parents were married June 15 1840 at Ballymore Eustace..
Here is the link to the parish register https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0463 You may want to look for baptisms between 1840-1847.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Dear Roger
Many thanks for this very useful info.
I had been looking at later dates due to Peter's declared age at census (1901 age 42=born 1859 - 1911 age 54=born 1857 & death 1916 age 63=born 1853)
Looking through the Parish register entries I have found the ones you mention above (Parents Wedding & 3 baptisms)
and additionally Catherine 15/7/1841 - James 19/1/1843 - William 28/6/1844 & Elliza 13/3/1845
It seems very likely that this is the Peter & James who are my ancestors. I am truly grateful to you.
Best Wishes & Merry Xmas
Jim
