Hello
I just found my ancestor is the Catholic Parish of St. Mary's, Clonmel, County Tipperary.
Can anybody please tell me the Civil Parish and the DED so that I can look him up in the census?
Thank you in advance.

Barbara:
Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
The civil parish would be St. Mary's The DED could be Clonmel East Urban, Clonmel West Urban or Clonmel Rural depending where he lived.

Roger,
When I go to the NA census, none of those are an option for a DED. There are 11 thousand Ryans in the 1901 Tipperary census. How do I know which ones are from St Mary's Clonmel.
Thank you for your time.

Hi,
What is the Christian name of the Ryan you are looking for and approx year of birth o the age that you know at that time.
The Census' have various spellings and some have a gap.
eg
Maykaey is Moycarkey
Mertonhall is Merton Hall
I have corrected spellings as I see them, but there are Lots!
So names pleas then we maybe able to help.
