Looking for any information regarding Patrick McPeek born about 1715. Died in either New Jersey or North Carolina, USA around 1780. Possibly the son of Donald McPeek/McPeak born about 1690 in Londonderry, Ulster. Thank you!

Hi Kelly,
I've had alook for your McPeaks.
You have done well to get back as far as you have.
The Family Search (Latter Day Saints) site had 2 Patricks but the information was sketchy.
The earliest birth baptism record for McPeak on the rootsireland.ie site is later than 1770.
The Public Records Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI) has a freely searchable website on which I found some McPeaks who were Protestant Householders in the 1740's. The Parish was Tamlaght O'Crilly and the Barony Loughinsholin.
Griffiths Valuation 1857 has 4 McPeaks 2 in Tamlaght.
I couldn't find any on the 1901 or 1911 Irish Census which is freely searchable.
You might like to google the parish.
The irelandreachingout site also has a specific page on it for Tamlaght and maybe you could contact them.
Cheers

Col Cafferky,
Thank you so much for your information. Tamlaght is new information so I will continue my search there. I had hoped to find records at the local level that went back further than 1740 but, perhaps I can find something closer to the source in Tamlaght, as you suggest. Thank you again!
