Hello!
I have recently heard from another XO member that I may have connections to Wicklow. My last name is Lingrell, but I believe that the Irish ancestors had the spelling Langrell or Langral(l). Just checking to see if anyone from this county has heard of any of these surnames.
Specifically, I am looking for Mathew (born Abt. 1760) or William (maybe Mathew's father) who first appeared in the US in 1753 ownign land in Dorchester County Maryland.
I am fiding that George Langrell may have been William's father.
Other surnames might be Langrill, Langrell,
I know this is all a jumbled mess--so, thanks for any clues or help you can give!

Hi Scot:
The subscription site Roots Ireland has five 18th century Langrell baptismal records in the 18th century. I assume all of these records were Church of Ireland. None of these records match up with your George, William and Mathew.
James 1704 William 1760 Ann 1762 Elinor 1780 Mary 1787
There may be a few other C of I parishes not included on Roots Ireland that have records back to the 18th century and are held locally or at the Representative Church Body Library in Dublin but those records are not integrated into a database.
I did not mention DNA testing in my first response but you could take Y-DNA test which goes back on your pure paternal Langrell/Lingrell line or you can take an autosomal test which tracks all of your paternal and maternal lines.
