Hello, I'm looking for family from Waterford. My great grandfather was John Obrien, married to Mary Corcoran and they were from the parish of Trinity Without.
My grandfather was Thomas Obrien and he moved to London in the 1950s. He married Eileen Lonergan. We tho k he had at least 3 brothers and a sister but we don't know if any of them stayed in Ireland.
If anyone has any info we would live to hear from you!

I located a 1916 marriage record for a John Brien and Mary Corcoran in Waterford. See second record. Was John a soldier?

Birth record for Patrick O'Brien in 1918 See eighth record

Birth record for John O'Brien in 1920 See third record

The free site www.irishgenealogy.ie has civil birth records thru 1921 so we don't have access to births 1922 onward.

Thank you for these Roger, much appreciated. I think I have the correct Richard as Mary's father but it gets very confusing. Richard married Bridget Long when she was just 17 but he was a widower, I cant find a previous marriage for him so I'm unsure who Mary's mother is as I can't find a record for her.
Yes, John was a soldier! I'm hoping some of John and Mary's decendants might contact me, my mum would love to hear from cousins, we know so little about her fathers familyEmmawilletts
