There are Roman Catholic church records available for the diocese of Killarney. These date from 1792 for both baptismal and marriage records. You can find these at the National Library of Ireland, Pos. 4262 to 1830; B. to 1865. M. to 1857, 4263; remainder 4264. You can also check the Church of Latter Day Saints, ref. no. 0883697 item 4, 5; 0883851 1. If you have any difficulty, you could try writing to the parish priest for more assistance.

You could try checking the land records called the Tithe Applotment Books (1823-38) or the later Griffth's Valuation (1848-64). Griffith's is freely available here: www.askaboutireland.com or here: www.failteromhat.com Failte Romhat has lots of other useful links you could try looking at.

A useful book you could look at is by Noel Farrell called KIllarney Family Roots Book: exploring family origins in Killarney, (2000).

I have Margaret O'Connell (don't know townland) also born around 1825.  She married Dennis Harty in 1845 Ardfert Parish.  He was from Ballymacquin.  I think her father's name was John.
