Hi,
Please see Landedestatedatabase@nuigalway which gives a historyof the name O'Dell/Odell in County Limerick. The area is Ballingarry which is approx 20 miles South West of Limerick City.
If you Google O'Dell+Limerick you will see that the name is still alive in Counties Limerick, Cork and Kerry.
Regards,
McCoy

Hi - I'm also researching O'Dells in Limerick. GGG.Grandfather Patrick O'Dell, birth approx 1820, died in Limerick 1865 by drowning at Arthurs Quay. He enlisted in Belfast 1840, and married Sarah White 1842 in India whilst in the Army. He had a son, Patrick Joseph O'Dell, birth 1854 in Corfu, death 1906, plus others. Patrick, Jnr's daughter Florence Elizabeth O'Dell, born 1880, was my Grandmother. Would be grateful to hear from any other connections / family. Regards - Val Knight, Kent, England
