I am looking for descendants of John O'Halloran (Halloran) and Catherine O'Brien who married about 1820 in Limerick. John was a corn and butter dealer.

They had to the best of my knowledge three girls, Mary, Bridget and Ellen and a son Paul, all who immigrated to Australia in 1854 and 1856.

I feel they originally came from Prior's Land in Limerick City and later after the death of John in 1837 it appear to have moved to the country possibly to Shanaclogh in the Civil Parish of Crecora.

They seem to be connected with the Purcell and Moloney families.

I would love to connect with anyone who has an interest in the above persons.

Hi Pam, our volunteer has the following update:

Sorry for the delay in replying

I met the local Postman . He advised that there was Ohalloran in the townland mentioned.

But the last surviving Ohalloran died apprx 2 years ago. I will try to ascertain where he may be buried and fwd a copy of the Headstone , if any.

I understand that a local Parish is completing  a detailed Cemetery Record excercise. I will try and find a contact and get any relevant details for the Ohalloran clan
