I am researching my ancestors and trying to trace the Euzell's/Uzelle/Uzelle. I have found my Adam Uzell at Renaghmore, and his daughter, Elizabeth, was my great x 2 grandmother. I believe, but cannot prove, that they were a Palatine family.
I have recently read online that the persecuted Palatines arrived firstly in England (early 1700's?) where they caused Queen Anne a bit of a headache. They were eventually sent to Ireland, settling in a few areas including Rathkeale and Pallasgrean. Can anyone give me more information about this, please? Given that I cannot trace my ancestors further back from Renaghmore, I am eager to know what may have happened.
Many thanks

Here's a link to the Irish Palatine Associaton site which may give you some additional information: http://irishpalatines.org/about/history.html
