Dear Col:  Yhank you and your team again for your efforts. Here is All I know :  Patrick Henry Tobin ( then 22 years old) came to the USA from Ireland Via Canada in 1850 along with his ( Future ) wife Margaret Morrisey. (then also 21 or22 ) . It  appears that they came with Margarets' parents John and Bridget Morrisey (both 48 years old) .....Also ' in their group was Ellen Morrisey O'Brian (sister of Margaret)  They were all listed in the USA census of 1850 in New York USA.  Patrick Henry Tobin, son of Michael Tobin (born 1800) Tipperary, was baptised 1 May1828 Clonmel County Tipperary.       Thank you again for your help !!!    Michael Tobin    mtobin999@gmail.com

good day:) seems like we are searching for our Tobin kin around the same time period. My gggrandfather Michael Tobin came to US and eventually lived in NYCity area.I have so little confirmed info on him, and know of no siblings which is quite strange.I do KNOW he had at least one child James Buchanan Tobin born ca 1862.I'm trying to find and confirm Michael Tobin's birthplace and parish: so far a real brick wall:( A cousin did an ancestry DNA test that listed County Kilkenney as a likely place.I'd appreciate more info on your Tobin kin. Was there perhaps a Michael Tobin in your line born ca 1836(that's a guess). Thanks.
